Mission & Vision
From household to handcrafted
Established in 2022 under the Rajasthan Societies Registration Act of 1958, our organization is dedicated to empowering women by helping them become self-reliant.
The talent already there
We primarily focus on women who are unskilled and often confined to household responsibilities, either due to lack of opportunity or social stigma. As a result, their talents remain untapped and underutilized.
Training at the doorstep
Our mission is to uncover this hidden potential and bring smiles to their faces by providing doorstep training in various skills, enabling them to earn and achieve financial independence.
Made slowly, and by someone
Nothing here is made on the chance that it sells. Every piece is attributed to the person who made it — because a maker who can be named is a maker who can be paid properly and asked about.

How we got here
The journey from 2022
2022
A registration, and a first workshop
Swadha is registered in Jaipur under the Rajasthan Registration Act of 1958. The first pieces are block-printed by a handful of women working from their own homes.
2023
Beyond Jaipur
The circle widens to Bagru and Nathdwara, and then across the border into Bagh in Madhya Pradesh — three towns, three distinct traditions of printing and painting.
2024
Every piece carries a name
Attribution becomes the rule rather than the exception: each piece ships with a certificate naming its maker, their craft and the town it was made in.
Today
Still small, on purpose
We remain a workshop rather than a factory. Growth is measured in makers we work with and crafts kept in practice — not in units shipped.
